Our Lady of Peace 2nd Annual Hackathon

One of our own, Bethany of our 8th Grade Class, attended OLP’s 2nd Annual Hackathon. It was a great team-building event and offered the chance for some amazing young ladies to come together.

Bethany’s group was given South America. They chose Peru’s Covid-19 outbreak and how they would be able to implement safety guidelines and delivery methods for PPEs and vaccinations as well as who would administer them. They came up with a robot and explained how it would go into the towns and help administer it throughout the people.  Bethany along with another young lady were co-captains of a team of six.  Bethany was in charge of researching the necessary information to help out each member and help cultivate the use of the Robot where the Co-Captain designed and explained it.

Congratulations and great work to Bethany and her team!

Thank You Mrs. Dean!

“St. Didacus would like to send a special THANK YOU to Mrs. Dean for her 33 years of dedication to our school! We wish you the very best of luck in your future travels, embrace the time you have with your family, and most importantly… your role as GRANDMA! We will miss you!” – Kristy Tarantino

Welcome To Our New Principal, Mrs. Kim James!

May 26, 2021

Dear St. Didacus School Community,

We conducted extensive interviews with multiple amazing candidates. After discussions and prayer, I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Kim James has been selected as the new Principal of St. Didacus School.

Mrs. James is extremely well qualified for this leadership role. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an M.A. in Education. Most compelling is her almost 20 years of commitment to teaching in Catholic Schools.  She understands and has lived the blessings, values and challenges unique to the mission of Catholic schools. Mrs. James has taught most recently at St. Columba School and St. Therese Academy.

She is not new to our St. Didacus community. Mrs. James, then Miss Dabrieo, taught 2nd grade here at St Didacus for several years. She is fondly remembered for her creative teaching, compassion, energy, and competing in the Boston Marathon!

Please join me in welcoming back Mrs. James.  We are truly blessed she will be our new Principal. Her experience, talents, and knowledge will help guide our students, faculty and staff in the coming years.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Fr. Rey
